Starting with the 2022/2023 harvesting season, the results are based on a newly developed inventory methodology. Due to these changes, the results are not fully comparable with previous estimates. The new method is based on the extent of delineated environmental consideration polygons around water bodies, rather than on transect-based measurements as used previously. Here, “water bodies” refers to the sea, lakes, or watercourses (excluding ditches).
